Location

Treetops is situated on Bordeaux Mountain, the highest point on the island of St. John. With a secluded location that borders on the Virgin Islands National Park, the property offers privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. While the many tall, tropical fruit and flower trees block the view of the Caribbean, they attract a variety of local birds and butterflies.

Located near the center of the island, Treetops is the perfect base for exploring St. John’s many different beaches, from the North Shore to the East End. The village of Coral Bay is closeby, and Cruz Bay is also just a short drive away.

Cyril E. King Airport on the neighboring island of St. Thomas can be accessed by direct flight from major U.S. cities including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. After arriving at the airport, visitors drive or take a taxi to one of two ferry ports, from where St. John is just a short ride away on a passenger ferry or car barge. See the chart above for time estimates for each option. For ferry schedules, click here. Once in Cruz Bay, Treetops is a scenic drive of about 20 minutes up into the hills of St. John. The last section of the road is unpaved, so a four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended.
